Silence is Golden Therefore Speech Must be Platnium

I know I've been MIA this week. Which is due to many factors (like the severe lack of an ice cold Fresca trickling down my throat) but ultimately just life. I apologize to none of you because no one reads this thing. Plain and simple.

So what do I have to say now? I pondered that very thought just yesterday when I decided to post my next entry. But I confess I've nothing to say. Or at least I didn't have anything to say yesterday. But today is a new day and I've come with...nothing to say.

So put up with my pointless dribble for a minute or two of your life and you may find there's more than meets the eye.

Originally I was going to begin this unusally pointless entry with an equally pointless but fun poem. But I've been hard at work writing other stuff (got a new book in the works which I may go into further detail as life goes on) so this is probably the last bit of writing I'll do today, no poem included. And yet I come with a gift from afar. A gem some would say. To others it's just noise.

A small band located in _____, Boston has recently caught my ears and in more than one instance I've found myself slowly bopping to beat of their many catchy melodies while sitting in the classroom as the Freshman stare at me as if I had mutant cauliflower growing on my face. Or worse.

The band in question is Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives. Hard rock fused with deliciously funky pop and probably the closest you'll ever get me to anything pop-related Honest Bob uses their face melting guitar shreddiblity to split your cranium only to plant seeds of witty (and often times hysterical) lyrics and pop vocals. Quite simply some of the finest music around.

The original idea was to post a streaming example of the wit involved in the manical adventures of one of the harshest/sweetest songs I've ever heard (Track 8 if your curiousty so demands it) until I learned these wonders haven't hit imeem.com yet. So I urge any and all patrons of the wonderful multimedia hosting site www.imeem.com to upload these wonders for all to hear.

Until that fateful day enjoy some Killer Queen. Because a little Queen in your diet never hurt.

Music is so special. I will never understand for the life of me what it is about synchronized noise and vocals that just moves the soul. But it does. And it is worthy of all the praise this pathetic heart can reward it with.

When people ask me what do I do outside of school (and for the last time no I don't play sports) I'm proud to say I'm a writer. Words have alway been a passion of mine and imagination has always been my favorite part of me so the two naturally go hand-in-hand. But if I could be anything else it'd be a spandex wearing hyper-monkey. Second would be a musician. In my head I've conjoured up hundreds of songs. But the ability to bring them to life has always been my one stunbling block. And one day I'll do it too. Not today, nor tomorrow, nor the day after that, but someday. Someday indeed I will spread my reign of elegant terror onto the unsuspecting ears of humanity and maybe a few aliens. Who knows?

In other, less interesting for you and more frustrating for me, news the other two-thirds of the L!Qu1d Network are not operational. Why not? Meh. Maybe I'm having too much fun here toying with the minds of facinated strangers.

Edit: In even more less interesting news the blog will be getting a new URL soon to make it easier to find and a bit more distinct.

in.Urbane

Welcome to inUrbane. A blog made by me The Artist. First things first:

What is inUrbane? inUrbane is anything unique, genuine, distinct, and suave. The word itself is a cross of the words individuality and urbane. These words, on a warm summers day, spawned the concept of inUrbane.

inUrbane is a lifestyle of uniqueness and this blog is here to embrace this wonderful lifestyle that quickly begins to wrap our reality. It's an idealism that conformity is nonexistent and that there are colors still waiting to be discovered.

The blog is here, the words have been spoken, and the stage has been set. Throughout 2007 it is my fantasy to celebrate life. The lifestyle of difference.

I'll admit this is just a quick post to introduce inUrbane. But I hope throughout the next few weeks I will establish the mood of this blog. And let the atmosphere of a warm brown wall against the backdrop of a fully furnitued sky ingnite the soul and light the imagination.
